Experience
After completing a fellowship in gynecologic oncology in California, Dr. Merieme Klobocista returned to her native Northeast where she was an assistant professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center for five years. During that time, she established a robust practice, developed a research interest in rare uterine tumors, and was actively involved in the education and training of medical students, residents and fellows. She then joined RCCA at the John Theurer Cancer Center and Mountainside Medical Center, where she is the director of gynecologic oncology. She has authored multiple publications relating to gynecologic oncology. The scope of her surgical expertise includes both traditional open surgery, as well as minimally invasive surgery. She is a skilled surgeon with advanced robotic capabilities — taking a minimally invasive approach whenever possible. Dr. Klobocista is triple board certified in gynecologic oncology, obstetrics and gynecology and hospice and palliative medicine.
