Peter D. Tate, Chief Financial Officer

Peter Tate is Chief Financial Officer at Regional Cancer Care Associates (RCCA). He is responsible for leading the organization’s financial management and financial operations, including operating and capital budgeting, financial and management reporting, controllership, accounting, procurement, investments, tax, risk management, financial planning and analysis and administrative responsibility for internal audit.

Pete has over 35 years of experience in the Healthcare Finance area spending 20 of those years specifically in cancer services. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer for UPMC Cancer Centers, as well as the Revenue Cycle Director for Fox Chase Cancer Center and UPMC Cancer Centers. Most recently he served as Executive Director of Cancer Care Partnership in State College, PA and as the President of Community Hematology Oncology Consortium; a drug buying consortium comprised of 40 physician-owned oncology practices primarily in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Pete has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the financial and operational aspects of cancer services, including large physician-owned practice groups, revenue cycle operations for physician groups and hospitals, physician contracting, cancer care operations and strategic planning, EMR conversions, and many other areas in cancer care finance and operational leadership.

Pete holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Penn State University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
